Chocolate Avocado Mousse with Vanilla Cacao Nib and Lemon Verbena Nectar

Who doesn’t love Juice Generation? It has become the go-to spot for not only some of the best juices, but some of the best raw-vegan eats as well. We fell in love with one of their desserts, the Chocolate Avocado Mousse with Vanilla Cacao Nib and Lemon Verbena Nectar, and the folks over at Juice Generation were kind enough to share the recipe! Who knew avocado in dessert could be so delicious?

Chocolate Avocado Mousse with Vanilla Cacao Nib and Lemon Verbena Nectar (serves 4-6 people; cookies require 48 hours of prep time)

2 avocados, pitted and peeled
1/2 cup raw cacao powder
1/4 cup agave
2 tbsp. lemon juice
1/2 tsp. lemon zest
pinch of sea salt

Place avocado, cacao powder, agave, lemon juice, lemon zest, and salt in food processor. Puree until smooth. Transfer to a bowl, cover, and chill in refrigerator 30 minutes to an hour prior to serving.

Vanilla Cacao Nib Biscuits
2 cups raw cashews
1 cup chopped, pitted dates
1/2 tsp. ground vanilla bean
1/2 tsp. lemon zest
pinch of sea salt

Place cashews in food processor and chop into a fine meal. Add dates, vanilla, lemon zest, and salt. Pulse in food processor until dough forms. Scoop 2 tablespoons of cookie batter onto nonstick Teflex sheets. Form into rounds 1/2-inch thick.
Dehydrate cookies 24 hours at 115 degrees for 24 hours. Flip over cookies directly onto plastic netting and dehydrate another 24 hours at 115 degrees to dry. Cookies should be crusty on the outside and chewy on the inside.

Tackle Football Season with Mary’s Gone Crackers

Who doesn’t love a good dip?

This Sunday (or Monday), treat family and friends to a healthy indulgence from Mary’s Gone Crackers. They’ve paired their crackers and pretzels with signature dips for a combination that’s guaranteed to be a touchdown among guests!

First, whip up Gluten Free Romesco, which is simply made by blending red bell peppers with olives and a variety of spices such as smoked paprika and cayenne pepper. We love this dip with the brand’s Sea Salt Pretzels. You can also  kick it up a notch with Green Chutney Dip, which combines chilies with fresh cilantro, mint and garlic and works best served with Mary’s Gone Crackers Original Crackers. That said both dips go well with any (or all!) of Mary’s Gone Crackers Pretzels or Crackers. Check out the full recipes below!

Owl’s Brew “teas crafted for cocktails” are perfect for the at home mixologist looking to give their cocktails a healthy spin. Now, in light of the looming new year, the brand shared with us to delicious season-appropriate recipes!

Owl’s Nog

In a saucepan, combine:

  • 2 Parts Egg Nog (homemade or pre-bought)
  • 2 Parts Coco-Lada
  • 1 Part Bourbon

Heat until desired. Do not boil. Pour into mug.

Garnish: Cinnamon Stick

Tea Toddy

In a saucepan, combine:

  • 2 Parts The Classic
  • 1 Part Whiskey or Spiced Rum [...]
