When the daughter of Ralph Lauren (and the owner of Dylan’s Candy Bar!), proclaims her affinity for shoes that don’t have an RL stamp, one has to take notice. Lauren recently teamed with Rockport – a brand that takes the know-how to develop comfortable shoes from their parent company, Adidas, with a knack for style – for a fun event. Design students revamped some classic Rockport shoes using the thousands of candies in the entrepreneur’s stores.

Whether flat, high-heeled, for men or for women, one thing’s for sure Rockport lives up to their claim that they make style comfortable.

Don’t even get us started on their swoon-worthy stationary – understated elegance at its best. Now the storied brand has teamed with award winning designer Jonathan Saunders for a new collection that includes limited edition iPad Cases, 2012 diaries, and notebooks, all of which are launching beginning in mid-October.

Taking inspiration from Saunders’ Fall 2011 collection where William Morris-inspired prints were balanced with a strict use of blocked colors and contrasting fabrics, all of the Smythson pieces feature two tones of color blocking in green/blue and red/camel in soft goatskin leather. We were quite literally left mouth open when we read that Kim Kardashian was making $17.5 million off of her recent wedding to Kris Humphries. Not a bad deal girl! This whole wedding circus got us thinking about the most memorable celebrity weddings and here’s our take, in no particular order –

Despite what the celebrities say…

Endorsed by everyone from Madonna and Demi Moore toRihanna (who is featured on their ads), a recent study by ConsumerLab.com found that Vita Coco coconut water, popular among gym-goers, is not as healthy as it claims to be.

The study found that at least some of Vita Coco’s flavor varieties have “significantly less” sodium and magnesium than advertised and there is now a $5 million class-action lawsuit against the brand. The ConsumerLab.com report further notes that a confidential witness said that the product’s manufacturer, All Market Inc., “knew or should have known of this discrepancy for years.”

A company spokesman denied the accusation saying: “We are confident that Vita Coco continues to be an excellent, all natural source of hydration and that our products’ nutrition labels are accurate and in compliance with the FDA. In fact, Vita Coco coconut water is regularly reviewed by an independent third party [...]
