Celeb Mommy Must-Have: An Organized Closet

Solange gives Harper’s Bazaar the dish

Solange Knowles - Beyonce’s sister - recently moved from Brooklyn to Los Angeles and when speaking with Harper’s Bazaar she singled out one room as being particularly important.

“You can pull images of me from seven to 14 years ago and I was absolutely nuts. I have always been drawn to interesting pieces and colors, but I didn’t quite know how to limit myself and make those statement pieces work. had to stabilize our lives and stay in one place,” she says. “It sounds silly, I know, but having space for my clothes made a huge difference. I was able to get organized, free myself of clutter, and develop a style that felt like me.”

We completely agree! We are so hard on ourselves as mothers, we often feel guilty when we feel the need to take a stand for “me” time and “me” space, but it’s critical - no matter if it’s just a 30minute a day breather or a little slither of space.

There you have it! A big part of Knowles’ personal style is simply having an organized closet. And with that we are off to organize ours.

Who knew…celebrities really are (almost) just [...]

Celebrity Secret Ingredient: Alpine Rose

Dermarose’s Swiss Rose Anti-Aging Face Cream

Swiss Alpine Rose has been a secret of celebrity dermatologists for years. Resistant to very harsh climates it’s used in high-end skincare as an anti-aging ingredient. Now a new luxury skincare line, Dermarose, has launched and it’s based entirely on this very plant stem cell technology. The brand’s new Swiss Rose Anti-Aging Face Cream combines the revolutionary Swiss Rose plant stem cell extract into an exclusive anti-oxidant and moisture rich formula. The result is an age-defying (and beautifully packaged!) product.

As mentioned the Swiss Rose is an extremely resilient flower that thrives and flourishes in the most adverse environmental conditions high in the Swiss Alps. The plant’s unique stem cells never undergo an aging process and are equipped with regenerative powers that continuously self-renew.  Stem cells extracted from the Swiss Rose plant have been clinically proven to have the same protective and regenerative effects on human skin cells as [...]

Five Risk-Free Ways to Change Your Hair

How often do you see a hair trend you wish you could pull off?

You might be scared to cut those bangs because might not look flattering with your face shape. Or you might be drawn to your favorite actress’s new hair color, but it might look awful with your eyes. Making even the smallest hair changes has always been a big risk, almost impossible to reverse without waiting for your hair to grow out or the dye to fade. Well…we never thought we’d say this, but maybe those clip-in extensions our girls played with this Halloween may just be the answer – allowing us to indulge in our hair fantasies without the risk of an irreversible hair nightmare. 2. Test drive ombre color. This style is all the rage today and SHE by SO.CAP.USA offers two-tone clip-in extensions that have been pre-colored to instantly give you this edgy look without the chemicals and long hours at the salon.

3. Experiment with fun colors. Always wanted to rock blue streaks, but are not ready to permanently dye your hair? SHE by SO.CAP.USA Easy-Clip Extensions in Fantasy Colors is a perfect way to try them.

Hairstylist to the Stars Sally Hershberger Launches a 3-in-1 Dry Volumizing Spray

…and we’re obsessed

We’re beauty fanatics - but we’re also on a budget and time crunched so the key factor to winning us over is always a multi-duty, affordable product. At $12.99 Sally Hershberger - the famous hairstylist known for creating Meg Ryan’s signature haircut, the “Sally Shag” - has launched a product that fits all of our criteria. Called 3-in-1 Dry Volumizing Spray, this spray builds volume, while refreshing hair (you know…when you don’t have time to wash it even though you know you should…), and gives your style hold minus any crunchy-ness.

No water needed (spray it on dry hair), and it’s weightless so your hair won’t be limp or heavy even if you accidentally spray too much (hence “volume” in the product’s name). It works best if you spray it on your hair and use your fingers to style it - as you would with a dry shampoo (use your fingertips to build as much volume as you want). Better yet it works for all hair colors (no powdery flour-like residue like you get with many other dry shampoos).

There are so many more products where this one came from…Check out Hershberger’s website. It’s seriously fantastic. It’s awesome to see [...]
