Candy, unjunked

Just in time for Halloween a new range of candy/chocolate snacks has launched that takes the junk out junk food. Called Unreal, the brand makes a variety of snacks similar to M&Ms, Snickers, Three Musketeers, etc, but only uses “real” ingredients, no corn syrup, no GMO’s, and less sugar (check-out this awesome video).

We had a chance to sample the various snacks and they taste identical to the originals - if not better. In fact the kids not only agreed, they liked Unreal’s offerings better because of the cool packaging. Unfortunately while these snacks are certainly way better than the originals they mimic, they are still high in calories, fat, and sugar and should therefore be considered a treat, but given their affordable price point (they’re sold at CVS), there’s absolutely no reason to be buying Hershey’s and the likes come Halloween.
