A cut above the rest
While we usually save our big guns — like our heavy duty carving knifes — for the holidays when we need to carve large cooked meats, when we got a Wenger Forged Carving Knife to try out we couldn’t help but use it as an excuse to throw a big roast in the oven.
While the brand’s knives are in the mid-price range, they outperform their similarly-priced competitors by a landslide. In fact, a number of professionals are said to use Wenger Forged knives because of the precision of the brand’s craftsmanship (one can always rely on the Swiss…).
While we haven’t used our carving knife long enough to be able to vouch for its long-lasting sharp edge, it’s strong and appears to be quite wear-resistant. To boot the ergonomic handle makes it easy for us to use (though we still prefer it when the hubbies take over carving duties…lest we get any stains on our clothes).
Now the big question is, which cookbook should we get next so we can continue to put this baby to use?
