We go to the gym on a regular basis, so we know all the effort it takes to burn off that red velvet cupcake. While there’s nothing that can rid us of our sweet tooth, we’ve been indulging in a more healthful addiction as of late courtesy of the Peppadew.

Peppadews are sweet piquanté peppers in a sweet/sour brine solution that can be added to just about anything. Seriously, anything - we’re talking everything from a daiquiri to guacamole. The fruit was originally discovered by a farmer in South Africa and is slowly gaining recognition in the mainstream thanks to its delicious combination of sweet with a hint of pepper bite.

Three varieties are offered: Whole Mild Peppadew, Whole Hot Peppadew, and Whole Goldew Peppadew. The Goldew is our personal fave because its mix of sweet and tangy goes perfectly with goat cheese and little crostini (an easy afternoon pick-me-up that we can feel better about than Doritos and we can serve to our mommy friends!).
