Travel inspiration from Lonely Planet
We couldn’t be more excited for the Julia Roberts film based on Elizabeth Gilbert’s memoir “Eat Pray Love,” to hit theaters on August 13. Don’t get us wrong, we know we’re very fortunate and thank our lucky stars every day that we, and our family we love, are happy and healthy. Every so often however we get the blues and our mind wanders to “what if…” territory. We traveled a ton in our younger years, but with marriage..kids..morgage payments…that all kind of fell to the way-side.
Inspired by Elizabeth Gilbert’s journey and in the spirit of go big or go home, we’ve been pouring over Lonely Planet’s uber comprehensive guide to India as we plan our trip to the foreign land in December in the year “when-all-my-kids-can-handle-a-super-long-plane-trip”. In the meantime we can’t wait to be inspired by Julia Roberts’ journey in the film (and her 100 carat, contagious smile!).
Dish with us: Have you gone on a long plane ride with your kids yet?
