Delicious gluten-free cookies
Every week we’re telling the kids something isn’t good for them and at the same time we’re being told that something is bad for our health or our complexion. While we take anything that doesn’t come from out doctor’s mouth with a grain of salt, the gluten-free craze has reached a non-negligible high.
Leave it to a mama to come up with the taste-good solution. Glow Gluten Free is a line of cookies that was developed out of necessity when the founder, Jill, and her daughter, Stella, were diagnosed with celiac disease. Unable to indulge in their former Mrs. Fields cookies vice, Jill couldn’t stomach the high-calorie, high-fat gluten-free alternatives so she set out to create one of her own.
Whether you’re avoiding gluten for health and beauty reasons or whether you’re an avid gluten consumer, we like Glow Gluten Free because they’re a relatively guilt-free (a little over 100 calories and 10g of sugar per cookie), addition to our diet. No, they’re not exactly on par with an apple or a piece of melon, but unlike our Tollhouse and Nestle options, they’re all natural and preservative-free and they’ve got no trans fats. Now we only feel minor food guilt when indulging in a couple (or four!) afternoon pick-me-up cookies.
