Recipe for healthy wraps for kids
Even the healthiest little eaters make take one look at a carrot or zucchini and squawk when their friends are around. It’s the idea of downing veggies in public, not the taste, they’re protesting. But there’s a way to get them and even the healthy-food haters to go for it.
Wrap up raw veggies—shredded cukes, carrots, zucchini–in a flour tortilla with a dollop of seasoned cream cheese and a sprinkling of favorite cheese—cheddar or Monterey Jack does nicely— and slice it into mini bite-size wraps their little hands can get around.
They’re perfect for an afterschool snack (great activity for playdates to help make) or for a school lunch. And you’ll definitely notice some public displays of affection.
